(Tickets Available For White/Black Tie Fundraiser To Be Held at Montage Beverly Hills)
Humanitarian Bruno Serato, whose Caterina’s Club nonprofit foundation is known worldwide for feeding some 25,000 hungry Southern California children each week, finding permanent housing for underprivileged families and helping at-risk youth avert gang life through his Hospitality Academy, will be the exclusive beneficiary of an upcoming white/black tie fundraiser. The American Foundation of Savoy Orders’s second annual Notte di Savoia will be held on Saturday, April 6 at the Montage Resort in Beverly Hills.
His Royal Highness Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, Prince of Venice and Prince of Piedmont, Italy, will preside over the festivities that will include a cocktail meet-and-greet, followed by dinner in the hotel’s Marquesa Ballroom, then an after party on the Rooftop Conservatory. The public may purchase tickets for $750 each. Visit https://www.savoydelegation-usa.org/notte-di-savoia.html#/ to book tickets and tables, or to make a contribution to the cause.
“I’m more than humbled for Caterina’s Club to be recognized at the American Foundation of Savoy Orders’s Notte di Savoia, which is sure to be an extraordinary and unforgettable evening,” said Serato, who was inducted as a cavalier into the Order of Merit by the Chancellery of the Royal House of Savoy in Rome just last year. “I am proud that the nation of my homeland has supported my efforts to help children all over the world.”
The House of Savoy is a royal family that was established in 1003 in what was then a small Alpine region located between Italy and France. Through gradual expansion, the family grew in power to eventually rule all of Italy until 1946 when the monarchy was superseded by the Italian Republic after World War II. To this day, the House of Savoy still performs many of the centuries-old traditional duties.
Caterina’s Club serves pasta each night in 89 locations in Orange and Los Angeles Couties, with more than 2.9 million meals served to date. Sir Bruno’s influence extends far beyond the Southern California area to include Chicago, New York, Texas, Mexico and Italy.
For his humanitarian work, Serato has earned international publicity including profiles in People Magazine, on CBS, NBC, and CNN, as well as in newspapers and magazines the world over. Among his many honors: CNN Hero, knighted by the Royal House of Savoy, Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipient, Papal Blessing from Pope Francis, humanitarian award on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, and numerous proclamations, Man of the Year awards and other forms of recognition — all of which he accepts to generate public awareness of the needs of our most vulnerable population – our children.
