COVID19 has locked people in their houses where they are fearful of going outside – to be trapped in your own home is never a good mental state to be in. With this, we believe educating is one of the best ways to raise awareness and calming fears rather than heightening them. It can be hard to turn the media off when you want to stay informed, but even sometimes the media can feel overwhelming. We ask our friends and family to remember their mental health in times such as these. Inhale, exhale, breathe out your anxieties – everything will be okay. We understand many of our loved ones are in the hospital, suffering, or we simply cannot see them due to travel restrictions, but we must remain united. Staying united means lifting each other up in times of trouble and remaining calm when there is chaos. One of the ways we can help ourselves do this is by reading our resources and educating each other. At Caterina’s Club, we read Orange County Health so we hear the facts straight from the government website. From here, we can be sure we remain up to date when we start to feel overwhelmed and educate our friends and family when they feel lost in the pandemic.
